House Update!

I know I'm not the only one that is impressed with Curtis, but come on! No one should be allowed to be this talented:) We are estimating it to be finished in August/September.

This is where the waterfall will be. I might have an idea of what your thinking, "a waterfall in the house?" So I will leave that one for Curtis to keep clean!

I'm very excited about the house! The plumbing and electrical are finished!!! The outside of the house is nearly finished, we just have to put up the gutters and the stone. Estimated time we can get the permits complete so we can move in is in May.

Roxie Lorraine!

The new addition to our household! Aren't they beautiful! Honestly I don't know where it comes from:) She is super sweet with a lot of spit up! We chose the name Roxie because I love Eliza R. Snow (R is for Roxcy) We changed the spelling cause Curtis liked Roxie better then Roxcy. I thought it was cute of him to care so I let him have his way:) Lorraine is my Grandmother's name, also my Mom's and oldest sister's middle name. Anyway we are SO happy to have her. And I can't wait for her to meet all the people we love!

These are kind of old, but better late then never. We are taking more today!

This one shows the tubing for the radiant floor on part of the house.

This is when they poured the stamped concrete.

This is the pattern for the stamped concrete. We are going to stain it all through out the house. That means not tile work, no carpet and no wood floor:)

This is the last picture we have taken. It's about 2-3 weeks old. Since then we have put on the roof and we are working on putting in windows and doors! So far the house is coming along quickly.

Sydney is officially allergic to Penicillin! She started to break out in Hives ALL over her poor little body! Luckily she wasn't itchy and was a really great sport about taking her meds! She is such a sweet little thing!

They finally poured the foundation last week and now they are working on the plumbing and radiant floor heating!

So much I can say about Sydney! But I will keep it short. She is an angel. She is hilarious and most always has a smile on her face. She is talking really well and I can understand 90% of what she says. Sydney can't get enough of water play! She plays in the sink, pool and even though I don't approve she will find just about any puddle. She still hates her diaper being changed, not quite ready to be potty trained and I decided I'm not ready for her naps to end so she is still in her crib:) She is the most snugly I think I will ever get out of the 3 living in the house with me, but still not enough:) She loves music. But the best thing about Sydney is she's a lot like me:) I love you Sydney Bidney! (I know weir nickname, but whatcha gunna do)

We have been very busy since I guess Christmas! The picture above I will explain shortly but first I should Announce to those of you who aren't aware we are expecting Baby #3. I'm 23 weeks due end of November, and NO I don't know what we are having YET! It's been very stubborn! I'm thinking a Boy for that very reason:) Now that that's out of the way, we are building a home about 25 mins. North of Colorado Springs in Monument, Kings Deer Division. And When I say WE are building it I mean Curtis along with his Dad. Now I should explain how we got to this point. Curtis was in school for a Fines arts degree and decided it would be better if he didn't get that degree so we looked at our options and this one came up. He's always wanted to build Sweet houses and sell them, so we looked into it and within a few weeks we found land and investors. We have been very blessed through out this whole thing and above is that land we purchased. It's 2.5 acres. It's beautiful out there! I know what your all thinking..."In this market?!" We did all the math and Yes we will make a pretty good profit, so no worries:) Curtis has designed a beautiful home and we are very excited about it. We will have to live there for 2 years before we sell it and we have to sell our home we live in now but those are the only downfalls so far. Oh and the fact that I will be very pregnant when we move. Anyone who knows Curtis you'll also know that this is his calling in life. He is very talented. We are going to post pics daily so you can see all the work being done.

I, Sarah, am still photographing weddings, families and babies. I also am babysitting my nieces a few days a week. This pregnancy has been harder on me but It might be because I don't remember the others, or that I'm getting older. Not much more to say other then I am anticipating the birth, very curious about this ones hair color(we have a blond, brunette and redheads run in both sides of the family), and excited for the house to be done.

Robyn is turning 4 on August 30th!! I am going to start a different home school preschool with her this year and if you have any advise I can use some. Joyschool was good for her last year but I think a different program for pre K would be better. If you know of one please let me know. She is well the same. Very loud and has WAY to much energy. But she is fun is starting to be a good big sister. I say starting because she's SO intense it freaks Sydney out! She is learning to ride a bike better and can now write her name. She LOVES the Littlest Petshops!!? I can't even tell you why. She loves musicals and old movies we love, such as Willow, Labyrinth, and ALL Star Wars. We are very proud of her.

All in all we are doing great. We are grateful for the support we've gotten and thank our Heavenly Father everyday for our wonderful family and the abundance of blessings!

Merry Christmas!

It's been quite a while since I last posted....OOPS! Before this year closes I wanted to let you all know how we've been.
Curtis just finished another semester of school and he now has about a year and a half left. He is still working on his Cabinet/furniture business and has been working on some sweet art! He is also remodeling the house still, and at this moment in time is working on our Master bed/bathroom. It looks amazing so far.
Robyn is now in Joy school Preschool and has so much fun with her friends (a little too much if you ask me). She is so smart, and wants to know everything about anything. She has a fun personality and is so fun to watch.
Sydney is our angel child! She plays and tries to be independent. She is just learing to talk and I forgot how hilarious it can be. She loves to make people laugh, and is just about the sweetest child ever to walk the planet. After having a baby like Robyn I was so thrilled not to repeat that experience.
I am loving life and spending LOTS of time with the girls while Curtis is going to school and working full time. I still do my photography, and lately have been doing families around town, LOVE IT! I also started to watch my nieces Mon-Fri, so it's a little hard to get things done before 5pm.
Over all we are doing fabulous and we hope the same for you! We miss you all so much! We are so grateful for the Birth of our Savior, for his atonement and the example he has set for us! And we wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!

Summer luvin'

Well we have had a few interesting trips.
First we went to the cabin and we had a great time. They have been trying to see it so we have no idea if it's the last time or not! But we are going to cherish the time we spent. Robyn had a blast. Curtis took Robyn up there a few days before Sydney and I and I really missed my little Mouth! We couldn't do much hiking cause of the rain but it is just so relaxing to be there.
Then we went to the Rockwood family reunion and had a very interesting time. Our little adventure started with Curtis and I getting the Swine Flu except he got better and I only got worse. I then got Laryngitis, the pills I got for that gave me a yeast infection in my esophagus and the pills for that gave me nausea. After the reunion Curtis went home and I and the girls stayed in Utah to visit Becca & Brad, Mom, and Matt & Tracey. So I am sick this whole time with the girls alone. We get into a car accident with Becca and another Utah driver. My car doors on the driver side got smashed in. Then on my way back to Becca's house from the store the day before I was going to go home the car breaks down and I have to fix it myself! So I was delayed going home. This whole time Sydney is teething and Robyn and Elliot are fighting over everything! The day We leave to end my SUPER fun Vaca the tires seem kinda low so we go to a tire place to fill them and the metal on the front tires are showing so I need 2 brand new tires! YippeY! More money to cough up! By this time my voice is coming around and I am finished with the horrible pills feeling better. On the up side we got a Brand New computer (IMAC), and we get the full value of our car! I also think I learned lot from my trip!
1 I hate Utah and their driver! Sorry not all of you are horrible drivers I know!
2 I don't ever want to travel without Curtis.
3 I have been looking forward to this trip ever since it was planned cause I was ready for fun! I think this trip was telling me not to waste my time looking forward to fun and just make life fun! So that it what I am going to try to do! All work and No play makes Sarah...ready to start having fun!

So I had a wonderful Birthday yesterday. I slept until 10:00am. Although, Curtis came in with Robyn at 8:00 and had 2 peeps from Easter squished together with a tea candle on top, and sang "Happy Birthday".(I guess I should show him how to use the kitchen and where I have the candles) After I woke up I came down stairs and he had made me a cake, my favorite German Chocolate, except he didn't have enough frosting so on one of the corners it's chocolate. It had been snowing pretty heavy so we just hung out all day. Then his parents took us out to eat and Curtis surprised me with tickets to the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. Well actually, I caught him buying something over the phone and he had to tell me. Last time he bought something without me he came home with a chainsaw. I wasn't going to let that happen again! So we got dressed up and I have to tell you the sound is amazing. They played Mozart and Beethoven, and then 2 newer composers that I didn't like at all but I had lots of fun. It brought back so many old band day memories. I forgot how to play the clarinet, but I still have it and I am thinking about relearning. I never really enjoyed playing but I think it might be fun to play for the girls. I think all around Curtis did a great job making my Birthday special. Here is a cookie for Curtis! I love you, Hunny!

This morning Robyn was telling Curtis all about her shower with mommy when I so rudely interrupted to tell Robyn to put her clothes on. Robyn turns to me and said "Mommy, Robyn is talkaning to daddy." I was totally put in my place. It was hilarious. I never knew she really understood because when I say, "Robyn, mommy is on the phone." or "Robyn, mommy is talking to Daddy." she just gets louder. So now I know that this adorable little two year old screaming at the top of her lungs really does know not to interupt. NICE!

Been a while

It has been a busy few months here. Curtis has school and a very heavy work load. If he didn't work from home I would probably never see him. In his 3d art class they did a class project that was put on campus and the class chose Curtis's idea. They did a giant Rubics cube. He did the cube and base and the rest of the class did the skin. I think it turned out pretty cool. It spins! As for me I am pretty much with the kids all day and night. But I am not complaining:) Robyn is officially potty trained, Yippey! It was a rough couple of days, but I did it. Yes, I am taking all the credit, sorry Robyn! Sydney is cuter then ever and is starting to army crawl. She won't do it on the hard wood but I'll take what I can get. All in all we are doing good, ready for a break and enjoying life one day at a time.

I know it's dumb but every year I need to be told it's a new year and we can start fresh. I really appreciate the people who have to remind me too. Last year has been very interesting and this year I am making changes. In Relief society the lesson was on increasing faith by personal righteousness. I love that, yet I have such a hard time with it. I know why, I am scared of the gifts I will be given. Stupid, huh. Curtis was doing that the last 2 weeks before the accident and now we are changing our lifes course. I am also scared that if I stop doing something I won't have anything good to replace it with. But this is a new year and I am going to do it because I want to increase my faith. I want to be happy. Not that I am unhappy, but I know I can improve. So I have set a few resolutions.
*I am only going to watch movies in the theater. I know this sounds dumb but Curtis and I would watch movies every night. I am a huge movie puff and this will be really hard for me to cut this out of my day. Movies have gone to the dogs and we have come to the point where we are desensitized to the most outragous things. We don't get out to the movie theater very often so I hope this helps.
*I am continuing to cut the bad sugar out of my diet. I was so surprised after doing it for 3 weeks how much weight I lost, and how easy it was. (Thank you Mel for the motivation)
*I am still doing the pilates/yoga and I love it.(again thank you Mel)
*I have decided to read daily personally. Curtis and I are really good at the couples reading but we aren't so good at personal reading.
*Poor Robyn, Sydney is too young to play with and I think she gets frusterated, I know I do, when she trys to play with her and she ends up crying! I think Robyn is very social and needs interaction. So I have decided to devote an hour a day to just Robyn.
*I am not to go to bed unless my kitchen is clean.
*Smile more
*Not complain about the Deloreans, some of you know how I feel about that and that is all I will say;)
*I also want to do more service.
Well, wish me luck! I hope that by the end of the year I can say I did it and then I will know my faith has increased if it hasn't already by Curtis's accident!;) Just a side note. I like that he only has four fingers on his hand. It's more comfortabe to hold:)

We had a great Christmas! The girls got some toys and Grandpa Rockwood made them a table and chairs set. It's awesome. Robyn loves it. This year was our homemade Christmas so for the girls I made them Christmas dresses and I made Robyn a quiet book. I actually made 3 of them and they are not easy without a pattern and they are a lot of work. They also got a play area set up downstairs that I still need to decorate. I found this 60's kid's room decor book at the thrift store that has some sweet ideas. I will have to modernize it ,especially the colors, but I am excited. Anyway we had a lot of fun hanging out with Curtis's family. One of the Rockwood Christmas traditions is silly string in the stocking, which we have learned might not work for us cause Robyn is afraid of it.(see clips) Se flipped out the first time we did it. The videos don't really show as much fright as we saw earlier that morning. We hope she grows out of it.

The other day Robyn threw a toy at Sydney. I didn't think it was that bad, however Robyn did get put in her room. A few minutes later Sydney eye was red I just knew it was going to turn into a black eye. Sydney didn't cry very long, she has been such a trooper when it comes to Robyn's abuse. Robyn plays rough mostly cause Curtis plays rough. So there it is Sydney's first black eye.

This is our family picture. I think it is hilarious.

Well, we are home! We had a ton of fun seeing everyone. We got to see friends we haven't seen in a long time, we got to see my baby sis get sealed, had yummy food for Thanksgiving, finally got a somewhat decent family picture of us, and the girls both got the stomach bug, so lots of cleaning up puke. We drove to Provo to see Alex and Jennifer, man we miss you guys being close. The drive out was interesting in the first 3 hours Robyn threw up 3 times(she gets carsick) and she slept the first 2 hours. So we made lots of pit stops. She did better after we gave her Dramamine. Sydney was so good we almost forgot she was with us, j/k. We can't thank everyone enough for making our stay enjoyable, especially John and Ashley for letting us stay with you guys and throw up all over your house, so gracious. Love you all and hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We can not wait to see everyone again. Robyn is old enough to enjoy the time with her cousins and uncles, and I am sure she will be good friends with them all. She is very social, just like her daddy. Sydney on the other hand will probably freak out if I am not around. We are trying to get her over this. As cute as it is and as much as my heart melts when I hear this, I know it's not a good thing.
So we are taking the 8+ hour drive to Provo, Ut and then the 4+ to Las Vegas. We are splitting up the trip so we can see as many people as we can, plus It sucks driving in a car with a car sick toddler and a baby your still feeding every 3-4 hours. Although it may be rough we are determined to have a BLAST! I am excited to see Tracey and Matt getting married. I hope they will be happy.

Ok, so I have to get off the subject for a second. I thought I had really good spelling skills until I started this post. Thank goodness for spell check. I have been misspelling words left and right. Maybe my brain isn't working. Maybe it's trying to keep the sabbath day holy too.

Anyway, I am so excited I hope to get to see everyone. I love you all.

Sydney's first tooth

That's right she got her first tooth and the second was following along a week later. It seems like it happens so fast. To top it all off, she bit me. Robyn never bit me so I didn't know about it until my friends told me. Then I was thankful I still had time until her teeth came in but she decided to get them a little early. At least I think 4 months is early.

Robyn has quite the personality. She loves buckets and putting things in them (like her head)and she put my nursing cover on like a cape, I couldn't help myself.

Curtis' s hand

Everyone has been asking about his hand, well he is doing great. The doctor said he can use his thumb but there is a good chance he will have to fuse it in the future if it is problematic. The thumb may come out of joint a lot. We are so blessed for his hand to be doing so great after what he did to it.

This is the question we have been asking ourselves since he cut off his dumb fingers. I wish we could go back. I hope we can figure it out soon it's slightly depressing. I thought we had it all figured out, but I knew Curtis wasn't sure he wanted to go to school for industrial design and I was just hoping that we had a plan cause it's better then not having one. Then he was talking to a friend about school. I didn't know this but our little Curtis was holding out on me. Apparently he wanted to be an anesthesiologist. Who knew that was coming? I always saw him doing creative things like Industrial design. Anyway, school for that is like 12 years. So he is going to do nurse anesthesiology. It's half the school and still really good pay. The only question is where are we going to go. And I thought Provo was where we were supposed to be. They won't accept him with his great gpa being so low because he dropped out of 2 different schools. I was all prepared to leave this life for a much more challenging one. We were going to sell the house live in a tiny apartment and have our neighbors hate us, because our daughter is so loud. I was ready to leave all the wonderful people I met to dreading making friends again. The one good thing I was looking forward to was living closer to family. I don't know what's going to happen now. I don't feel sure about anything anymore. The future I mean. Now that I have depressed you all, I ask you now for advise about what I can do as a mother and a wife to support Curtis and show him I am ready for the challenges we may face, even though this is the hardest one yet. He is so upbeat about it, it's kind of amusing to watch. Especially when he first lost his finger, he's such a show off.

So it's been really crazy since Curtis cut his finger off. We decided to sell the house and go back to school. So in September the house will go on the market. We have unfinished projects to finish and then in January we are moving up to byu Idaho for a semester so he can finish his associates and then transfer to byu. He wants to go for industrial design so it will take 4 years part time to get. After the accident Curtis hasn't been able to work, we thought about all of our options and this seemed to be the best for our family for the future. I am sooooo sad to be leaving, I love Colorado, this house we have made a home and my friends and family. But on the upside I will be closer to my family and we will just have to make more friends and we figure a house is temporal and can be replaced. There is a lot to be done on the house and we will be quite busy for sometime. I can't wait for the day Curtis gets a schedule then we can make plans to do stuff as a family.
Curtis' finger or where his finger was has healed nicely. He says he can still feel it. Last night he went to do the finger quotes and realized he only did it with the one finger and was quite sad. His thumb no longer has a pin in it but they are unsure still whether it will be okay without having to fuse the joint. He claims to be able to predict the weather, as a joke. He is being very amusing.
Robyn is growing so fast. She loves her little sister Sydney. We can't keep her away from her. She will be 2 on the 30th of this month and she is trying to talk, still not making much sense yet but we try to understand.
The blessing went well and with all the excitement about the finger I didn't get a chance to tell about it. Thank you all for coming by the way. It made it more special. We have some pics to post and there are a bunch so I am going to post just the minimum and if you were there and want certain ones(Ashley) I can email them. Well we went to a 4th of July parade on Fri and had a bbq. There were a lot of people so it was Chaos, but the fun kind. The blessing was nice and Sydney is such a good baby. I was nervous that she was going to scream like Robyn did but she cried a little then stopped. Curtis said she was gripping the mic cord and stopped crying. Then we had a nice dinner at our house. We pretty much just hung out the rest of the time. I love family.
As for me I am super busy with the kids and I have my photography and also the house. I am also working out. Some of my girlfriends and I started doing pilates-yoga. It's hard but I think it's funner then aerobics. My goal as of now is 20 more pounds by November. we will see. My friends also threw me a baby shower and that was fun. Anything to get out of the house, even though I had the girls I still had fun.
So fun stuff, huh. If anyone knows anything about Rexburg or where it's cheap for married people to live, please help. I can't seem to find much other then 600 for a 1 bed plus den. PEACE!

The surgery went well. He is sometimes in a lot of pain, but it doesn't stop him. He is such a hard worker. He isn't the type of person to sit around, he is always doing something. Which isn't a bad thing, I mean look at our house. He has done some amazing things to it. I should post pics of the floor it looks great. The entry way isn't finished but it will look sweet. Anyway about the surgery, please pray with us. The surgeon said the the was worse then he thought, so if it doesn't heal right then they will have to fuse it at the joint. Still usable but not fully funtionable. He has such a positive attitude which helps me not worry. So we are doing fine and we are looking forward to a full recovery.

So we had a fun experience on Friday. While Curtis was working on the table saw, the piece of wood he was cutting got caught and pulled his hand in the blade. He cut off his left index and his thumb. The index finger is not fixable but the thumb is. As you can see in the x-ray, his finger was cut long ways loosing most of his knuckle making impossible to ever use again. The thumb he cut at the base but they said it was going to be okay. They are amputating the finger and fixing the thumb Monday. He is doing surprisingly good. Actually I think he's being a little morbidly happy. He doesn't even seem to care he is going to only have 9 fingers. I am probably doing worse then him. After talking to the surgeon I am doing much better. The ward and friends and family are being so supportive. You can see the love people have for him and our family.

Sydney Kriss Rockwood has arrived!

June 17th we arrived at the hospital at 6:30am for the induction. They started me on pitocin at 7am. Nothing happened until the Doctor broke my water. Then I felt like I was dieing. They started strong and only got worse. An hour after they broke my water I was ready to push. I pushed four times and she was out. Very fast, but very painful. She was 6 lbs 9oz 18 1/2 in. She has dark hair which I was excited about. Very healthy and very mellow. She is a great little eater. All the opposite of Robyn.
Robyn on the other hand is sick so she hasn't been able to play with her new sister. There are too many changes in Robyn's life right now I hope she will be okay. So far it's been great. Not much else to say except we are all doing great and I am excited about life with 2. I was scared at first but I think it will be okay. Robyn is a very social girl so I think having a sister around will be fun for her. I am posting the hospital pictures and I hope to be taking some good ones soon.

We are holding out to buy more furniture so the inventory is small.
Also, after a long wait we are finally putting in our wood floor and Railing. We decided on Walnut. We hope to have it done by July when everyone comes out. I think it will finish off the house so it doesn't look so dated. We are so excited.
By the way I am still pregnant! I have a scheduled induction on the 17th. I am hoping to go natural though. Does anyone know anything about stripping the membranes? I am thinking about having my Dr. do it on Thursday.

So I am happy and annoyed to announce I am still pregnant. I have mixed emotions about it. I know now that if Sydney is born now she will be healthy, as this is when I had Robyn. I am 36 weeks. Not much has changed. I hope she comes soon now!
Okay so no one told me the age between 18 mo. and 2 years was so hard. Knowing that we would have waited a few more months to get pregnant. Maybe it was better not to know now that I think of it. Anyway, Robyn is a pill sometimes. She ignores me and we are having a hard time getting her to sleep by her self in the big girl bed. Anyone have suggestions. Let me just note that she makes herself throw up when she gets really up set. But on the other side of things she is so freakin' cute. She is talking more, still not making a whole lot of sense but it's so fun. And she is learning to help mommy clean and do thing around the house. Some days when I just want to be alone in my room I will go in there and find a collection of her alphabet magnets in my bedding. Then all I can do is smile and laugh. Families are fun aren't they.

34 weeks!

Well, I saw my doc today and I asked if he would check how far I was dilated, because I was having some strong contractions a few nights. So he agreed. I am a 3.....70% effaced. I was a 3 and 80% effaced the day before I had Robyn. So he prescribed me something that will help Sydney's lungs and stuff. I know she will be early but who knows. So I am to take it easy, whatever that means. Okay, I know it means no sex and no lawn mowing, but What can I do. There are so many more things to do before she arrives. I still don't have her space set up. So I am kinda freaking out. The doc estimated that she is a little over 5 lbs. Which I was kinda glad she was not 4 like I Thought. Any way we finally took Maternity pics so here they are. And yes I touched up the stretch marks.

So we decided to go to the Zoo and we had so much fun. Robyn's face was so funny almost the whole time. The Zoo is in the mountains so I had a hard time walking around, but it is an awesome zoo. Can I just say how much I love Colorado? I went for a walk with Robyn today in our neighborhood and I felt like I was in the mountains hiking. We aren't in the mountain, but the air smelled so fresh and the weather was so nice, and we live on a hill. I can't get enough of Colorado. The water is sooooooooo good, too. I think I am addicted to it. I was used to not being able to drink it from the tap, but our water is better then bottled. Confirm that, Tracey! Anyhow, I just wanted to share that with everyone! Can wait to see everyone in July!

Well I finally am in my later 20's. Okay, it's just 26 but still I feel 90 right now because of this pregnancy. It has been really painful. I am getting all sorts of weird pains that I didn't have with Robyn. Not fun but it will be worth it after Sydney is born. So anyway, my Birthday... It was nice. My mother and Father in law came and made me lunch. Then she helped me with Sydney's dress we will be bringing her home in. I will have to take pictures of every project I have done. I am kinda surprised with myself. Anyway...Then we went out to dinner and came home and hung out. Not very eventful, but it was nice.
I have a question for the women who had multiple pregnancies. Or even if you can answer this I would like help. How soon does your baby usually drop. I never knew when Robyn did and I have been feeling a lot of pelvic pain today. Kinda like a muscle was pulled. It's on and off. Also some pressure. I don't look like I have though. I am due on June 24th but my doctor said I will probably go in the end of May because I was really early with Robyn. I just need to know what the heck is going on. AHHHHHHH!

Here is a little update on what is going on in the Rockwood household! We are trying to finish projects around the house we started so long ago, like the downstairs bathroom. I got to grout for the first time, kinda, Curtis helped cause I was too slow. We are getting the house ready for another resident (Sydney).
I am trying to take my mind off being pregnant, so I decided to start more project, ones that I actually want to do. So I repainted and redecorated one of our upstairs bathrooms. I am also redecorating the nursery to accommodate two girls, Get our Furniture website going, taking pictures on the side, Replanting our garden out front, and Sewing a lot (reupholstering, making cradle bedding and Robyn's big girl bedding).
Curtis was going to give up the cabinet business but we have been blessed with big money makers, so he decided to stay a little longer and have me do the website while he does the cabinet thing. People really like him and keep referring, making it hard to turn down the money. Plus he will subcontract the sucky work, like spraying the finish. Anyway he is got a full load and he is working hard all the time, leaving little time for play:( but we make it work. There will come a day where it will be quite the opposite I am sure. At least he is there when I need him.
Robyn is growing like a weed. She is starting to say real words, kinda. It's kinda fun to figure out what she is saying. Na is nursery, nana is banana or food in general, done is done, nyny is night night, ba is bath and so on. She loves to play outside but our days aren't consistently warm yet so she has a hard time understanding when it's too cold to play outside. She has the funnest little personality. She's our little toddler what can I say!

Well it is official. Robyn is now in nursery all by her self. She just loves it there. I am so glad for that. Curtis is the one that sat with her for a few weeks and I am sorta sad about that. I would have like to have done it but I teach primary. I was able to pick her up this past Sunday and she was so excited, she ran to the toy cabinet and was showing me all the toys and everything she was doing. I am so happy to see she is happy. I couldn't ask for a better toddler.

For all of you who could not be at the sealing or reception, it was beautiful! I know some of us were questioning "why San Diego Temple?" but after the day was over I could see why! It was so amazing from the weather down to the words in the sealing. I find it hard to believe there is only one more Sellers not married, no offense Tracey your still a baby. Congratulations David, Jennifer is a cutie, and Jennifer.....I hope he doesn't play with Lego's anymore;)
As for their reception, it was a blast. Their was never a dull moment. They looked so happy. It has been too long since Curtis and I were married, I almost don't even remember being without him. Good luck you two, you have a lot of people who love you!

So I am freaking out! I am going to Vegas for David's wedding alone. Without Curtis and Robyn it will be hard. Mostly because I have never spend longer then 5 hours away from Robyn. I will be gone for 3 whole days 5 really. See Curtis has a bunch of deadlines he needs to meet this weekend and I can't take Robyn on an airplane alone. Carrying a camera bag, luggage, car seat and her. I can't fathom ever doing this kind of thing alone. I don't know what I would do without Curtis. I should tell him that, huh! Naaaaaahh then his head will get bigger. Anyway, I needed to get that out. There it's out!

Well we found out he are having another girl. Curtis is so excited and relieved it's not a boy. He's so afraid he'll have a son that likes sports. Weird, huh? Robyn came to the ultra sound with us and she wanted to get up on the table with me so bad. I think she was a little freaked out I was up there. So we had a name all picked out if it was a girl. Daphne Lorraine but when Curtis saw the baby he said she didn't look like a Daphne anymore. So we may name her Sydney. No middle name yet. We still like Daphne Lorraine so we can't use Lorraine. I kinda like Sydney Kriss you guys will have to let me know what you think. Well that's the big new!

I was thinking about it and there isn't much on our blog. It's kinda boring! So I decided to tell a little more. Well Robyn is so big now. She is a sponge for all the personality traits of Curtis. Which isn't all that bad. For instance when she gets into trouble and we try to punish her she just laughs. We tried time out she just loves it. We tried spanking and she thinks it's a game. One day we told her "NO" and she did it anyway and got a spanking. Shortly after her punishment she tried to do it again. We said "NO" and she just laughed and started spanking herself and runs off. When Curtis gets into trouble he makes jokes to lighten the situation. It's so fun seeing them together. Two peas in a pod.
As for me she has nothing but my smile and my absence of toosh. She is definitely a daddy's girl through and through. Being a mother has been so much fun for me, after the first 6 months anyway. I am expecting my 2nd in June, and I want a boy Curtis wants all girls. I find out really soon what we are having. We had a fun Christmas. We stayed in Colorado for that and just spent most the time with family. I just love my in-laws. I think I got lucky on that one. As for New Years we went to Vegas to see my family. Most of which was spent with John, Ashley and Brendyn. What a cute family, huh? Anyway the night before new years eve we stayed up and talked so new years we were all pretty pooped. By the way I absolutely hate to fly out of vegas. The flights are always delayed by like an hour. and with a toddler it's not fun.
So I want to talk a little about Colorado Springs! It is the most Beautiful place I have ever been. All the good stuff here. Mountains, nice summers, snow, homes with yards, good traffic, most people here are Christians, and the most important, it feels like home. We bought a house about 2 years ago. It's a 1979 house but the best part is our floor plans is unique. It's a 4 level split. It's on 3/4 of an acre and it's about 3,500 sq. ft. Curtis is multi-talented and we have been remodeling it the way we want. We even have room to expand. And expand we are. Curtis is very creative. Anyway enough about all that. I hope to post more as time goes on.
